3. Price and composition of the payment

3.1. The price of the policy is set by the Insurer’s tariffs and depends on the chosen programme, the age of the insured persons, their number and the selected clinic.

3.2. The amount paid by the user consists of three parts: (a) the insurance premium at the Insurer’s tariff, as stated in the policy; (b) the service fee — the Operator’s remuneration for selection, online issuance and support; (c) the bank fee — the cost of accepting a bank card payment.

3.2.1. When payment is made in advance for six months or for a year, the Insurer grants the Operator an agency discount on the premium, and the Operator transfers the premium to the Insurer net of that discount. This does not affect the price for the user: they pay the Insurer’s tariff, and part of the discount is returned to them as a separate “Yearly discount” line in the order breakdown.

3.3. The service fee and the bank fee are shown before payment, as separate lines in the order breakdown, and are included in the total payable. By paying for the order the user confirms agreement with the total amount and with what it consists of.

3.4. The service fee is charged on monthly and quarterly payment schedules. When paying in advance for six months or for a year it is not charged. The bank fee applies only to bank card payments; there is none when paying by bank transfer to the Operator’s account.

3.5. The settlement currency is the Georgian lari (GEL). Prices include all applicable taxes.

4. Procedure for concluding the contract

4.1. The user selects a programme, provides the details of the insured persons and of the policyholder, and pays for the order. Before payment the user has access to: the description of the Unison insurance programme, this offer, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy.

4.2. Before payment the user confirms acceptance of this offer, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy by ticking the corresponding box. Without this tick payment is not available.

4.3. The Operator stores the date and time of the acceptance, the edition of the offer and the text the user accepted, the IP address and device details. These records are kept as evidence that the contract was concluded.

4.4. Only an adult may be the policyholder under the policy. An insured person may be a minor.

4.5. After receiving the payment the Operator transfers the data to the Insurer and pays the insurance premium. The Insurer issues the policy; the Operator sends the policy to the e-mail address given by the user in the order.

5. Policy term and payment schedule

5.1. A Unison policy is concluded for one year. The start date is chosen by the user during checkout; a policy cannot start earlier than the day it is issued.

5.2. Payment is possible monthly, quarterly, for six months or for a year in advance. The chosen schedule is stated in the order and in the policy.

5.3. The first payment is made by the user to the Operator, and the Operator transfers the insurance premium to the Insurer. Subsequent payments under the chosen schedule are made by the user directly to the Insurer, unless the policy states otherwise. The details and due dates of the following payments are stated in the policy.

5.4. A late instalment may lead to suspension or termination of the policy under the Insurer’s rules. The Operator sends reminders about upcoming payments but is not liable for the consequences of a delay.

6. Rights and obligations

6.1. The Operator undertakes to pass the data to the Insurer, to ensure that the policy is issued and sent to the user’s e-mail, and to provide support on issuance and payment matters via e-mail, WhatsApp and Telegram.

6.2. The user undertakes to provide accurate data and is responsible for its correctness. An error in passport details, date of birth or citizenship may result in the Insurer refusing to issue the policy or refusing a payout.

6.3. A user who provides the data of other persons confirms that they are entitled to do so and that those persons have been informed about the processing of their data.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. The Operator is an agent and intermediary and is not the provider of the insurance service. Claims regarding the insurance service, including decisions on insured events and refusals to pay, are settled between the Insurer and the policyholder.

7.2. The Operator is not liable for: the Insurer’s decisions on insured events; the coverage and exclusions set by the Insurer; the quality of medical services at the clinics of the network; delays caused by third parties; technical failures beyond the Operator’s control.

8. Right of withdrawal and refunds

8.1. The refund procedure is set out in a separate Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of this offer.

8.2. The service fee is remuneration for the service of issuing the policy online, actually rendered, and the bank fee is a cost already incurred; neither is refunded after the policy has been issued. This does not affect the right to a refund of the insurance premium in the cases provided by law and by the Insurer’s rules.
