The doctor herself was kind and always smiling, but unfortunately, I had a bad experience: they took two hours to remove my tooth 8, and it was incredibly painful. Maybe this would have happened with any other doctor, I'll never know. Then, after another week of suffering, I went to see Maya and asked if everything was okay, why it was hurting so much, and if that white thing I could see was bone. She looked and said it was okay, it wasn't bone, and to keep taking the painkillers. After flying to another country, I continued to experience severe pain. I went to another dentist, who told me I had a dry socket, called alveolitis, and the bone was exposed, hence the pain. Then I had to get it cleaned, stitched, take more antibiotics, and have painful procedures. In the end, I paid twice and went to another doctor for an additional 1.5 weeks to get everything fixed. I'm very glad that after they cleaned and stitched me up, I stopped taking painkillers and was finally able to sleep normally; before that, it was really hard and painful.
