MY DENT

The worst examination of my life... the doctor was pushing and trying to sell me unnecessary treatments, manipulating the terms to make it seem like I was the fool... the clinic is okay, but I have many questions for the doctor. There was zero interest in his eyes. He didn't even look in my mouth, even though I traveled across the city for this consultation. The clinic has a rule: first a consultation, then treatment. So instead of examining my entire mouth, the doctor barely looked at the teeth I complained about, barely opening my mouth, using just one mirror from the side, almost from a distance. Extremely reluctantly and dissatisfied. Naturally, he immediately suggested a crown. Even though the tooth didn't require it at all. When I said I didn't need a crown because it involves grinding the tooth down, he said no, the tooth doesn't get ground down, it gets restored! I asked him to explain the whole process. During which he replaced the word 'grind' with 'file down'. Of course, the miracle doctor tried to raise the bill by suggesting an X-ray. Although the specific tooth didn't require it, and he was ready to treat it immediately. But seeing my allergy/cold on the other cheek, he quickly shuffled the cards in favor of the X-ray and its importance. Moreover, he stated that I definitely had infections... without a doubt. And besides, he said I could use this X-ray with a neurologist if needed. I was so surprised, of course, I looked sideways, went to change money, and asked the administrator again about the X-ray, like, is this X-ray only suitable for dentists or for neurologists too? She quickly and clearly said it was only for dentists. Not suitable for other doctors. Then she said to ask the doctor. I said I asked, and he said it would work everywhere. She was shocked and went to clarify. He convinced her that yes, it would also work for a neurologist if those parts of the face were examined, but not the back. He even hinted to her, and she told me, that there was swelling under my eye, so she recommended the X-ray. Only when I told her that the tooth was actually on the other side, she said, then it's not needed. But it was clear she was under a similar impression as I was. Shocked. And you know what? I've had dental work done in four countries. Including Armenia. When by pure chance the doctor turned out to be Armenian, I was very happy about it. In advance. I had dental work done in Armenia, and those are my best memories of dentistry in my life. None of those doctors ever tried to scam me. Not once. Whether I came with insurance or not. For just an examination or for treatment. Here I saw something like 'we write 2, 3 comes to mind'. And yes, I'm still not sure that I need to treat 2 teeth. As the doctor said. Because I actually came in for 1. But he kind of found that 2 were decayed, I don't see that at all. I don't feel it. I see about 25% of 1 tooth. From my feelings. Of course, now I will have to look for other doctors, as I didn't feel trust or desire to continue here. Perhaps for implants and crowns, this doctor is a super-doctor, and that is his specialty. I don't know. But for regular fillings, this is not suitable at all. The nurse was also quite indifferent, by the way. I didn't like it. I entertained the thought that not everything might suit me. But I certainly didn't expect this. The doctor doesn't look at the patient! He also doesn't listen to them and interrupts under the impression... unfortunately, not a pleasant one. I thought all evening: should I write such a review or not, since I came to the clinic and to the doctor on the recommendation of acquaintances. However, something in their words, despite the enthusiasm, was still alarming back then. The doctor offered them a Hollywood smile. But I thought, okay. I have a simpler request, and yes, doctors do have a practice of scamming, especially dentists, but I'm okay, I'm lucky. 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁 Response to the review: I didn't complain about the prices and didn't refuse, I just didn't understand that the price was for 2 teeth, as the doctor simply didn't say that there were 2! The surprise was that I had meant a completely different tooth and a completely different chip, which he couldn't even know about, as he didn't look at the tooth on that side where the cheek is; in similar cases, I knew that it just gets polished a little, not that a filling is put in. I asked about 1 filling because sometimes the gap between 2 can be problematic! There was no swelling on that side. I'm being treated at another clinic where they explained things properly.

You can trust this clinic and their staff 💯 Being a nervous, hypochondriac person, I meticulously studied dental clinics in Batumi and finally chose this one. Here, I had a scan of my teeth, caries cured and had my tooth removed. All these procedures were done separately on different days: caries was cured and a tooth removed out by dr. Arto and scan was done by dr. Tamar. No pain, my nerves were saved, no side effects postfactum, and I am still alive. The pricing is great: I paid 100 GEL for a scan of two jaws, 150 GEL for a tooth removal, 120-150 GEL for caries treatment.

I can't put into words how delighted I am after visiting this clinic. Tamara and Tiga (I hope I heard you correctly), thank you so much! You are an amazing team of professionals who made my teeth much healthier and more beautiful. The entire treatment was quick, polite, and took just one visit. I used to have a hard time looking at my teeth without tears of sadness, but now I can't hold back tears of happiness. I recommend this clinic to everyone!!
